John Tillman discu John Tillman discusses plan to win back House at Women’s Republican Club of Lake Forest/Lake Bluff

The Women’s Republican Club of Lake Forest-Lake Bluff  and the Shield  Republican Organization presented a free event on Wednesday, October 11, 2017, at Gorton Community Center, 400 E. Illinois Road in Lake Forest, IL, to informally meet state and county GOP candidates.   Peggy Siebert is president of the Club.

John Tillman, Chairman and CEO of the Illinois Policy Institute was the featured speaker.  The Illinois Policy Institute is an independent organization generating public policy solutions aimed at promoting personal freedom and prosperity in Illinois.

Dan Rogers served a Master of Ceremonies.   Dan invited Carla Wyckoff, Lake County Clerk, to speak about the signing of candidate petitions and how care must be taken to make sure the directions are followed. Carla indicated that 1,700 election judges were needed in

Lake County, that eight polling places have changed, and how one early voting site will be added in West Deerfield.   A new and improved website was described as a tool for election information.

Next introduced was Mark Shaw, Chairman of the Republican Party in Lake County, who introduced candidates now holding office and candidates running in the Illinois March Primary to challenge their Democrat opponents in November.

John Tillman introduced

Following Mark Shaw, John Tillman, was introduced. Tillman has founded or co-founded a variety of key organizations in Illinois to create the competitive capacity needed to turn Illinois around.  In addition to leading the launch of the Illinois Policy Institute 501(c)(3), John founded Illinois Policy 501(c)(4), the Liberty Justice Center a 501(c)(3) public-interest law firm, the Illinois Opportunity Project 501(c)(4) and the Illinois Liberty Political Action Committee. Mr. Tillman is regularly featured in the media, and has appeared on FOX News Channel, FOX Business, the BBC and NPR, as well as in The Wall Street Journal, the Washington Times and other news outlets.   Tillman spoke as a citizen activist rather than as a representative of any non-profit organization.

John Tillman spoke initially about how he came to found a pro-free enterprise movement in Illinois, the Illinois Policy Institute.

Mentioned by Tillman was the Janus case, a prominent Supreme Court case, which deals with worker freedom from paying union dues. A positive outcome will have important ramifications across this nation.

Tillman serves on the board of directors of America’s Future Foundation, which is focused on the Millennial generation. While there is a common perception that conservatives cannot compete with Millennials, Tillman pointed out that both Mitt Romney in 2012 and Donald Trump in 2016 won white Millennials. Overall they lost Millennials because overwhelming numbers of black and Hispanic voters vote for Democrats. Thus, conservatives must do more to reach out to minorities, not just for electoral wins but because our ideas are better to help everyone, especially minorities.

The question posed by Tillman was how can Republican win in Illinois when to win Republicans must likewise appeal to independents and soft Democrats?

Tillman noted that to win Republicans should not adopt left-of-center policies.  Instead, Tillman recommended winning over voters by making the argument in a way that they can be understood.

Republicans lost their way in early July when 15 Republicans voted for the Democrat budget that contained a $5 billion tax hike.  Gov. Rauner did vetoed the tax hiking budget but there were enough Republicans voting to increase taxes and he was overridden.  What happened in the aftermath is that 9 out of the 15 Republicans resigned, thus clearing the field to elect a different brand of Republicans. Democrat seats also opened up with a total of at least 31 members now retiring.

Despite Democrat rule in the Illinois House and Senate, Tillman sees a soft underbelly of an extremely fragile blue wall.

Tillman noted that the greatest vein of available voters are the 1.6 million white men who did not vote in the 2012 election in Illinois. By doing better to sell our ideas to minorities, women and Millennials, and winning over some of these non-voters, Illinois could once again become competitive even in a presidential year. Donald Trump’s win in places like Pennsylvania, Michigan and Wisconsin was, in part, because he did exactly that.

According to Tillman, the path forward for Republicans is in the Illinois House, where nine seats are needed to take control. Tillman noted that there is a broad opportunity win win the nine seats out of a pool of about 25 seats that will be competitive. Sixteen of those districts were won by Gov. Rauner in 2014 though the seat is still held by a Democrat. That is where the greatest opportunities are.  What makes the takeover of the House possible is that Democrats in the House are ticked off by their own Democrat leadership, Mike Madigan.   Even Democrats in Cook County objected to the proposed Sugar tax.

Deep research is being done to put the election model together in these districts. Allies across the spectrum, including the Illinois Policy Institute, also are reaching voters and citizens through their huge Facebook followings.

Tillman also indicated that primaries are the means to change the brand.  Accordingly, he suggested to the audience that there is a need to get involved in the spring of 2018. Republicans must chose wisely in the primary fights in March of 2018 and then carry their brand into Democratic districts to advance their brand.   It is also important that Republicans believe in their own brand to be able to persuade others that their lives will be better if they vote for the Republican brand.

Politics is a blood sport. Republicans must fight, and we must fight harder and better than Democrats.

Regarding our public employee pension problem, it represents 25% of Illinois’ budget.  The solution rides in protecting the pensions of current retirees and near term, but placing new employees on a 401k program.

This nation is presently in a fight for the very core of what this nation was founded upon.    The battle is over whether citizens will remain in charge of its government or whether government will wrest control away from the citizens.  Competition exists between these two competing forces.  Our Founding Fathers were brilliant in realizing that man becomes more secure from freedom and that dependence on government takes away freedom.

Thorner:  Islamist Religion defined from The Generous Qur’an, Islam’s Holiest Book

The Des Plaines chapter of Act for America held an event on Monday night, October 9, 2017, on the true nature of Islam at The Christian Liberty Academy in Arlington Heights, IL.

The panel featured three outstanding guests.

 1) Phil Haney, a DHS whistle blower and former counter terrorism expert in President Obama’s administration and also the author of the book, See Something Say Nothing.

2) Anni Cyrus, a survivor of Sharia law abuse after her parents sold her into marriage at age 14, where she was imprisoned, abused and escaped to America. She now advocates for women and girls suffering under Sharia law.

3) Usama Dakdok, an expert on Islam and author of an accurate, modern English translation of the Qur’an, Islam’s holiest book, without any sugarcoating. Usama was born and raised in Egypt as a Christian.  His first language is Arabic.

Sara Schmidt introduced each guest as head of ACT Chapter in Des Plaines.

Anni Cyrus  is often heard as part of the Glazof Gang.   It was surprising to see a tall, attractive young lady mount the stage to the podium.

Anni emphasized the important of educating ourselves as to what Sharia law stands for as set down in the Qur’an.  For without this understanding it is impossible to discern the problems we’re facing.  Sharia law not only represents the government of Islamist countries, but it also applies to the religion practiced by Muslims.

Regarding Sharia Law here in America, how did happen?  According to Anni, those who obey Sharia law when they come to this country will always follow Sharia Law.  It doesn’t matter where they are living. Twenty-five years ago, female mutilations were unheard off.  Now it is widespread among young girls in American Muslim neighborhoods.

Regarding the Koran, as related by Anni, it commands that men are fully in charge of women.  A woman can’t do anything on her own, unless she obtains the signature of a male guardian.  If she strikes out on her own, such defiance can be punishable by stoning.  Even where women have been allowed to drive, a male guardian must give permission for a woman to do so.

Anni is very proud to be an American citizen.  She was fortunate to be smuggled out of the horrid situation she was in.  Anni spent three years in a refugee camp before coming to America.  Because Anni loves America, she now feels an urgency to stand up and talk, not for herself, but to educate others, so future generations of Americans might understand the threat Islam poses as its followers continue to grow in number.

Usama Dakdok had enough material at his disposal (322 slides) to speak for 6 hours, but even with the 20 minutes allotted him, Usama’s presentation was quite shocking to those in attendance who had little or no knowledge about the tenants of the Islam.

Usama spoke passionately about the lies being taught about Islam in public school textbooks, wherein the Five Pillars of Islam is routinely taught to impressionable children.  As for Muslims, they are taught Seven Pillars of Islam.  What do the two missing pillars say?   And why is Islam alone being taught to children?  And what about Christian children who are subject to the Muslim indoctrination, such as those indicated below

1.      Hate for Israel.

2.      Bible is not the perfect Word of God.

3.      Jesus as a man and a prophet, but not the Son of God.

4.      Mohammad was a peaceful, loving messenger.

About the danger of feeding false information to young children, Usama cited this quote by Joseph Goebbels: Tell a lie often enough, people will come to believe it.

In talking about the Qur’an, Usama noted that according to the Qur’an Muslims are permitted to lie.  Furthermore, the Qur’an itself does not call for peace; Islam denotes submission.  Western Muslims might speak of “peace” because they do not know what the Qur’an truly says, or they do not presently have “the upper hand.”  Here is what The Generous Qur’an says in 47:35 about peace:

“So do not be weak and do not call for peace when you have the upper hand.  And Allah is with you, and he will not leave from you [for] your works.”

What about Mohammad as a prophet?   As Usama related:  A prophet must give prophesies to qualify as a prophet.  Furthermore, prophesies must then be fulfilled.  Mohammad, the founder of Islam, did neither.  What he managed to do was to lead his followers to the worship of Allah, where Allah deceives and leads Muslim astray.  To Muslims, all Christians in infidels.

Of great concern to Usama is how the American people are allowing the Muslimization of their country.  We know all we need to know.  Followers of Islam are here to establish Islamic sharia law in the U.S. as the law of the land.  In that Mohammad is defined as a prophet and Jesus as a prophet but not the Son of God in the public schools, should be of great concern to parents. Unfortunately, many parents aren’t aware of the progressive education being taught their children, nor do many seem to care.

Usama’s book, The Generous Qur’an, published in 2009, is a must read for those wish to know the truth about Islam from its original source of corruption and hate to increase awareness of the looming threat posed by Muslim beliefs set forth in the kareen (generous) Qur’an.  Usama’s book is a true and accurate English translation of the (generous) Qur’an.  After the September 11, 2001 attack, Usama’s book was dedicated to the families and loved ones of those whose lives were taken.

Following are excerpts from Usama’s translation of The Generous Qur’an:

Those who die for the sake of Allah (performing jihad – holy war) are not dead, and Allah will pray over them.

It is permissible to lie in an oath.

The witness of two females equals the witness of one man.

In the gardens men will have multiple wives of stainless purity (even-virgin).

Muslims who make friends with unbelievers lose their salvation, but Muslims can make temporary friendships with infidels only when the Muslims are weak until they have the upper hand.

Men are superior to women.  Men must scourge their wives before they become rebellious.

Muslims are commanded to kill the Jews and Christians.

Allah will give Islam victory over all other religions.

Those who reject the Qur’an are infidels.

Allah promises to exalt Islam above all religions.  Islam is a religion of love and peace EXCEPT to anyone who is not Muslim

The final speaker, Phil Haney, spoke from his own experience as a Homeland Security Officer during the Obama administration, who suffered repercussions (a criminal investigation) when he exposed the government’s submission to Jihad funding in the Obama administration.  He did all he could within his powers to protect America from the internal and external threats from Jihad.  While in his position, Haney gleamed information from internal documents that not only told of the subversive influence in the Obama White House, but just how radical the administration itself had become in trying to defend Muslim supremacists.

Haney’s work led him to discover 1) how much the Obama administration knew in advance of the Boston Marathon bombing; 2) the Obama administration’s stealth policy to protect Islamic leaders with ties to terrorism; and the scope to the White House and classified information the Obama administration had given to members of Muslim Brotherhood front groups. Haney, as a CBP officer, Haney had targeted the Muslim Brotherhood for nearly ten years, trying to warn DHS management and members of Congress that it was a dangerous movement. All the while, the Obama administration was supporting the Brotherhood at home and arming them in the Middle East.

Haney’s oath to support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies foreign and domestic, “so help me God,” compelled Haney to become a whistle blower. Now retired his Haney’s oath still requires Haney to speak out about the internal and external threats from Jihad.  Haney is further resolved to continue his mission until the end. Following the policy known as Countering Violent Extremism (CVEO) in the Obama administration, orders were issued to sanitize or eliminate all information Haney had gathered.  An investigation was also launched against him.

Haney’s book, co-authored by Art Moore, See Something Say Nothing, is a chronicle of Phil Honey’s experience as front-line officer, intelligence expert, and founding member of the DHS. It demands to be read.

Insights from the Panel Discussion

Islamist groups have partnered with such groups as Black Lives Matter and Antifa.  All want a Constitution that is more acceptable to them.  This is why Thorner is so against. Con Con (Constitution of the States).  George Soros and the Koch Brother are financing those who are being sent to state legislatures to convince legislators that Con Con is the way to go

·        The swamp cannot be waterproofed, because the Islamists are part of the swamp entrenched in government positions.

·        When will enough be enough? When enough people believe that our Constitution is not worth defending. This nation will then fail.

·        Number of Muslims in America is doubling every year.  We now have around 5 million Muslims in America.  If nothing is done, in 20 years the number of Muslims will expand to 40 million, and in 40 years the number will grow to 160 million Muslims in America, Europe is already gone.  Muslims are breeding like rabbits, and the Europe woman aren’t having children.

·        Muslims are in the deep state and a threat within our internal government.  These swamp creatures have stingers and very sharp teeth.

Please call your U.S. senators and representative to support the Muslim Brotherhood Designation Bill to have the Muslim Brotherhood defined as a terrorist organization:   HR377 and SB 68

Chicago Bears stood with hands over their hearts during anthem last Thursday in Green Bay

By Nancy Thorner & Ed Ingold –

Professional athletes in football and basketball attracted national attention this week for refusing to respect the flag and National Anthem at games. Once restricted to a few misfits like Colin Kaepernick, formerly of the San Francisco 49ers, the protest spread this weekend more against President Trump, for his tweets decrying the practice, as for sympathy with Kaepernick.

This is widely regarded as a crybaby response on the part of a privileged few who are paid handsomely to perform children’s games for the entertainment of sedentary fans. This manufactured protest has been met by a roughly 8% drop in attendance and viewership of the games. Fans are seen burning team jerseys, even season tickets in counter-protest. Team members who refuse to “join in solidarity” have been criticized by other players and management for “poor team spirit.”

Chicago’s Mayor Rahm Emanuel on September 27th accused President Donald Trump of trying to divide the nation in criticizing NFL players for kneeling during the national anthem, calling the president’s comments a “cynical ploy to distract people” from his administration’s failures.  Emanuel further said that Trump’s provocative statements and Tweets about the kneeling protests were for the purpose of dividing America, by noting that the ideals of this nation “encourage those who dissent to speak up, and that takes nothing away from their patriotism.”

Emanuel also expressed his displeasure at Gov. Bruce Rauner who made public statements in support of Trump’s feelings about athletes who kneel for the national anthem. For this one thing we applaud Rauner as one who was a Never Trumper and even refused to attend the Republican Convention this past summer when Trump was recognized as the Republican presidential candidate to face Hillary Clinton in November of last year.

This has nothing to do with 1st Amendment rights. The amendment says “Congress shall make no law … prohibiting…” This protection has been extended (incorporated) to apply to states and local governments, but never applied to private business regarding employee behavior, on or off the job. You can’t be prosecuted, but you can be fired or disciplined by your employer.
Team owners and managers support the players in this action, while ignoring the pressing issues of spousal abuse, weapons violations, drug use, even murder. Players have been censored for protesting items on this list, or even supporting the police in opposition to “Black Lives Matter.” Pro sports would rather keep the real issues at arm’s length, like another world.
For a long time, professional sports were regarded as “games and entertainment,” but in 1972 it was officially recognized as big business. Congress promptly responded by granting immunity from anti-trust laws which would otherwise apply. National athletic organizations, amateur and professional, cannot be prosecuted for fixing prices, wages, and the right to change employers.
It would also seem that they are given de facto immunity from anti-discrimination laws as well. Roughly 70% of professional athletes are African-American, compared to 13% of the population. Women are virtually excluded, despite Title XIV. The only official concern is the low percentage in management and coaching.
And what about the stadiums and arenas used by professional football and basketball?  They were constructed and are maintained at public expense. Tough life, isn’t it. Politicians falling over backward, in the vulgar sense, to support local teams.
John and Andy Schlafly, sons of Phyllis Schlafly (1924-2016) whose 27th book, The Conservative Case for Trump was published posthumously last year, wrote an insightful commentary on 9/27/2017, titled The NFL Leaves AmericaFollowing are several paragraphs from their article:
Today’s NFL has become a massive entitlement program for billionaires, one of the worst examples of corporate welfare. Like others who enjoy lavish lifestyles based on government handouts, many NFL owners are ungrateful to the American system that makes their success possible.
Of course not all players put their game above the American flag. Pittsburgh Steelers’ lineman Alejandro Villanueva, a former Army Ranger, gave us all something to cheer about when he stood alone on the field to honor the American flag and the National Anthem while his teammates cowered in the tunnel.
But then even he had to pay a price for being patriotic, as his own head coach and teammates began criticizing him for it. He was apparently forced to apologize for supposedly embarrassing his teammates.  President Trump’s Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin summed this issue up well on one of the Sunday morning talk shows, remarking that NFL players “can do free speech on their own time.” They do not have to insult our Nation in taxpayer-built stadiums before captive audiences.
John and Andy Schlafly also suggested that Congress should hold hearings on how much taxpayer money is flowing to support the anti-American conduct of the NFL, and state legislatures should consider passing laws to cut off that money at the local level. While people have a right to be unpatriotic, Americans should not be forced to support them.
When these athletes protest their supposed mistreatment, it is not just disrespect to the flag, but to the privileges extended to them by law and custom. Perhaps it’s time to take another look.
