Thorner/Ingold: The Global Warming Cult is polluting children and adult minds

Should we be alarmed by the dire predictions that are captivating the global psyche that is driving adults to brainwash children into believing such prognostications? The Green New Deal claims only 12 more years and we are literally toast, unless we spend Trillions to combat this cataclysmic climate change doomsday.

It is of concern that many have come to believe the threat of global warming is far greater than the global ISIS terror war. University of Alabama students quizzed during a protest by Young America’s Foundation were of that persuasion.  As one student said, “ISIS won’t be an issue if the Earth isn’t here ya know. Earth will be dead.”

Based on the history of previously projected doomsday, it’s 0 for 41 as laid out in this article by John Naolte dated Sept., 20, 2019, “Climate ‘Experts’ Are 0-41 with their Doomsday Predictions.”

Think about that… the so-called experts are 0-41 with their predictions, but those of us who are skeptical of “expert” prediction number 42, the one that says that if we don’t immediately convert to socialism and allow Alexandria Ocasio-Crazy to control and organize our lives, the planet will become uninhabitable.

Why would any sane person listen to someone with a 0-41 record?

Why would we completely restructure our economy and sacrifice our personal freedom for “experts” who are 0-41, who have never once gotten it right?

The emergence of youth-led child strikes

What we should be alarmed about is the perverse and widespread brainwashing, of our young people as well as many naive and gullible adults, with doomsday tales regarding climate change. The Socialists, who, as usual, are simply out to destroy Capitalism by any means possible, managed to convince millions of adolescents around the world to stage a climate strike on September 20, 2019.

Because any excuse to avoid school is a good one, especially when it’s with the blessing of your left-wing teachers and parents, it’s no surprise that so many of the kids took to the streets.  The bigger mystery has always been why the Left would create a boogeyman of the weather. After all, we all experience the weather.  We know if it’s hot or cold.  Who would have thought it was so easy to convince people that their own senses are lying to them and that the climate really has undergone calamitous changes over the past couple of decades?

In the U.S. alone, over 1,000 youth-led strikes were held as students took to the streets to demand, local, regional, and global climate action. In New York City, 1.1 million school students were allowed to miss school for the ‘Climate Strike’ protest. The day before the strike Mayor Bill de Blasio said on Twitter: “Today’s leaders are making decisions for our environment that our kids will have to live with. New York City stands with our young people. They’re our conscience. We support the 9/20 #ClimateStrike.”

Perhaps the single most embarrassing aspect of the climate strike is that the notion originated with a 16- year old Swedish girl and environmentalist activist, Greta Thunberg, who has been skipping school every Friday for months in order to save the world.

Greta, having struggled to figure out an environmentally friendly method of travel to participate in the U.N. Climate Action Summit scheduled 3 days after the Friday’s climate strike, and upon deciding that both planes and cruise ships have high emissions, Greta accepted a high-speed racing yacht from the U.K.

Climate activist Greta Thunberg did not mince words when she addressed the U.N. Climate Action Summit on Monday, September 23, 2019, claiming the world faces a “mass extinction.”

As Thunberg said:

“You have stolen my dreams and my childhood with your empty words … entire ecosystems are collapsing, we are in the beginning of a mass extinction and all you can talk about is money and fairytales of eternal economic growth. How dare you!”

“You are failing us.” “Young people are starting to understand your betrayal. The eyes of all future generations are upon you. If you choose to fail us, I say we will never forgive you. We will not let you get away with this. Right here, right now is where we draw the line. The world is waking up. There seems to be one reason only why Greta received so much attention. The left wants to appeal to your emotions.  What better way than to spotlight a child.  Greta served as a puppet on the climate change main stage.

Employing young people derived from an old playbook

Bringing young people into movements by canny adults with an agenda is an old playbook and clearly seen in the Hitler youth movement in the 1930’s. It is a classic ploy of any totalitarian regime like that seen today in N. Korea where children are numbed and weaponized into belief that the State is more important than parents and reporting them to the authorities for thoughts and actions that conflict or contradict the good of the state is commonplace and without remorse, irrespective of the outcome, frequently assassination of one or more parents. Any N. Korean defector has seen it first-hand. What is China trying to do to Hong Kong? Precisely the same but on an adult and professional level.

Robbing children of their youth is the most insidious aspect of the brainwashing of young people. It is difficult enough to grow up, but denial of one’s youth only makes it worse. Are not our kids anxious enough, medicated enough, hovered over enough and programed enough that one more worry like climate change is too much? Parents wake up, your kids are the pawns of the doom’s day crowd and their short but formative youth is lost and gone forever.

So where do we go to get some truth about the unvarnished facts, and more importantly, sources that do not manipulate data to support an agenda, or at least obscure the reality of what is happening over a longer time frame rather than cheery pick data to support a pre-ordained position. Remember also, the cost of anyone now who even factually disagrees with notion of “settled” science; they are ridiculed, ostracized and careers ruined for daring to disagree and hold true debate.

The video is preceded by a revealing quote of what Dr. Ottmar Endenhofer said in an interview on Nov. 13, 2010 when he was chairman of Group 3 at IPCC (Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change).

In the video, Tony Heller sets the record straight about climate.  He has developed software to help climate alarmist know the truth.  Heller’s graphs disprove the following manipulated claims of climate alarmists:

• Heat wave increasing since 1960.
• Arctic sea ice declining since 1979.

Cults, a phenomenon of modern life

“It is a phenomenon of modern life that as membership in the old established religions wanes, cults continue to sprout up like toadstools.  Most of them have a very limited number of adherents and unless 75 people are killed at the Branch Davidian compound in Waco, Texas, or 900 are killed or commit suicide at Jonestown, Guyana, we don’t hear about cult leaders like David Koresh or Jim Jones.

But when it comes to sheer numbers and influence, there’s nothing to match the doomsday cult that has sprung up in the wake of Al Gore’s warning us about the imminent threat of global extinction.  What makes the longevity of this cult so remarkable is that Gore’s “imminent” has turned into “eventual” and none of the true believers is questioning the ever-changing timetable.

Even Gore was something of a late bloomer.  Starting around 1974, all the experts at the U.N., NASA, the New York Times, the AP, Time and Newsweek, were warning us of a coming Ice Age or fretting about a disappearing ozone layer or something really scary-sounding they called acid rain.   But, then, almost overnight, they regrouped and started keeping us up nights by screaming that the planet was in immediate danger of being incinerated.

Gore warned of melting icebergs and rising ocean levels, which simply proved that he didn’t even remember his high school science:  if you fill a glass with water and ice to the very top, when the ice melts, not a drop of water will rise above the rim.  It’s called displacement

Not to be swayed by facts, NBC has begun something they’re calling Climate Confessions. The network has invited sinners to come forward and testify how they have helped create the existential threat of climate change.

In short, NBC wants us to live a life not worth living, which is essentially a life you can achieve with far less effort by just tuning in NBC News on a nightly basis.”

Thorner/O’Neil: New California resolution forces Church Leaders to accept Homosexuality

As reported on Tuesday, September 17, 2019, a new California resolution puts pressure on churches to accept homosexuality, even though the practice is in opposition to their Biblical doctrine. Obviously, the resolution has caused concern for some and created a conversation for many others.

Does this violate specific mandates in our nation’s law that calls for a “separation between Church and State?”, even though the United States Constitution does not state in so many words that there is a separation of church and state. The first part of the First Amendment states: “Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion or prohibiting the free exercise thereof.”

[“Separation of church and state” is paraphrased from Thomas Jefferson and used by others in expressing an understanding of the intent and function of the Establishment Clause and Free Exercise Clause of the First Amendment to the United States Constitution which reads: “Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof…”

The phrase “separation between church & state” is generally traced to a January 1, 1802, letter by Thomas Jefferson, addressed to the Danbury Baptist Association in Connecticut, and published in a Massachusetts newspaper. Jefferson.]

Even so, will other states, such as Illinois, watch the issue closely to determine if they too might join California to infiltrate churches for political purposes?

Homosexuality as an alternative lifestyle

One of the most volatile and important issues facing the Church today is the question of homosexuality as an alternative lifestyle. According to the Bible, marriage is heterosexual by definition. Jesus, when expressing his understanding of the scriptural foundation for the divine purpose and design in marriage, referred to its origins in the Creation account: “From the beginning of creation, God made them male and female. For this cause a man shall leave his father and mother, and shall cleave to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh…” (Mark 10:6-8, quoting Genesis 2:24).

The Church cannot duck this question. The collision between LGBT concerns and concerns of religious freedom, exemplified in the case of the Colorado baker who refused on grounds of conscience to supply a wedding cake carrying a message endorsing same sex marriage, along with the U.S. Supreme Court’s re-definition of “marriage” to include same sex unions, have thrust this question to the front and center of American culture.

Christians who deny the legitimacy of a homosexual lifestyle are routinely denounced as homophobic, intolerant, even hateful. There is thus tremendous intimidation concerning this issue. Some churches have moved away from the historic Christian position and endorsed the homosexual lifestyle and even ordain those who practice it to serve as their ministers.

Bishop William Love  of the Episcopal Diocese of Albany was punished last year by The Episcopal Church for refusing to enforce a recently enacted resolution allowing congregations in his regional body to bless same-sex marriages. In a statement released while attending the fall House of Bishops’ Meeting in Minneapolis, Minnesota, Bishop Love announced that the Title IV Reference Panel voted to refer his appeal to the Hearing Panel. Bishop Love has appealed a punishment for refusing to allow same-sex marriages in his diocese and will go before a hearing panel to argue his case.

Although the United States has been considered a Christian nation, there appears to be a trend to consider opinions of atheists and foreigners over American citizens whose families have attended places of worship for generations.

The Bible and Christian churches teach compassion and offer help to those who wish to change their lifestyle, including those who have experimented with a variety of sexual partners and/or illegal activities, but then later chose to leave that lifestyle. Many have successfully done so, married, and testified to being exceedingly grateful for their chance to escape a lifestyle they found uncomfortable if not dangerous.

AIDS epidemic changes “game plan”

Some of us likely know someone who escaped from a life of homosexuality, perhaps even someone close to us. Others may have worked with a church group that ministered to those who wanted to leave the lifestyle behind.

We watched the LGBT movement gain strength during the 1970’s, then head into a decline.  How did that happen? Some believe it was the AIDS epidemic which hit many communities with a vengeance. At first nobody knew the root cause of AIDS, but because so many within the LGBT were infected, the medical community realized they were the cause and/or the carriers.

There were good reasons for fearing this deadly virus.  Because it was so new, doctors did not know how best to treat it.  Co-author Bonnie O’Neil recalls an incident involving a friend’s son who experienced a serious accident in San Francisco.  This resulted in his need for a blood transfusion. The blood given him contained the AIDS virus. He survived his injuries but died from the blood infusion, which turned out to have been given by an AIDS victim.  This was becoming all too common before the medical community knew much about the new virus or how it was transferred.

Once science learned how to identify AIDS and understood that the LGBT group was one of the primary groups spreading it, many people began shunning the homosexual community, fearful the virus might be somehow transferred to them.  This created the need for LGBT leaders to strategize how to protect their community from the intense public stigma raging at the time.

A LGBT’s “game plan” was devised to change public perspective. It was a detailed plan to persuade the public that homosexuals were not the cause of AIDS, but were in fact sensitive, intelligent and hard-working people, just like the rest of the population.  And it worked!

Difference between harassing and mandating embrace

There is, however, a big difference between not harassing and/or harming someone based on their homosexual lifestyle and suggesting churches embrace those who identify as LGBT. For officials to ask pastors to embrace the LGBT Community, this could be interpreted as a violation of church & state, especially knowing the Bible and other religious books clearly state that homosexual behavior is a sin.

Legislators seem not to have respect for the Christian Bible and other religious books, all of which clearly state homosexuality is not just wrong; it is a sin. Are they unaware that the Bible condemns homosexual behavior, just as they do adultery, stealing, murder and/or any other sin described in the Bible, Koran, or other religious books?

While the CA legislation just suggests churches “embrace” LGBT identities today, does anyone doubt that within a few years it will become mandatory?  Where is the outrage from people of faith?  It could be that most CA churches do not know of this new “resolution”, but what about their elected representatives.  Why hasn’t this highly questionable new proposal been a subject of conversation before now in Ca?

What, if any, penalties will be applied if a church chooses to ignore the “resolution”?  Likely none today.  Knowing how the system works, should the proposal become law failure to obey could be a costly violation for many CA churches.

Phyllis Schlafly’s movement continues at 48th annual conference in St. Louis

Phyllis Schlafly’s 48th Eagle Council was held on September 13-14-15, 2019 at the Marriott St. Louis Airport, Saint Louis, Missouri. Eagle Council is the annual conference for supporters of Phyllis Schlafly known as “Eagles”, because Phyllis adopted the American bald eagle as her personal emblem and as the symbol of her leadership in politics and public affairs.  (Attachment 2) Ed Martin serves as president.  John Schlafly is treasurer, and Honorable Helen Marie Taylor is chairman of the board. Eagle Council XLVIII was presented by Phyllis Schlafly Eagles, Eagle Forum Defense Fund, and Eagle Trust Fund.  There were four co-sponsors: The Gateway Pundit, Human Events, Project Pro America, and Gen. Jack Singlaub’s America’s Future.  300 plus dedicated patriots and supporter of Phyllis Schlafly and her revered organization attended this year’s Eagle Council. Phyllis passed away on September 5, 2016, but it was Phyllis who introduced candidate Donald Trump to the present conservative pro-life Republican platform, which Trump adopted and is now carrying out in his administration.

There were 43 speakers, who covered topics that were of great importance to those gathered, as they related to current political concerns and happenings. Issues covered included the state of education, especially the failure of Common Core; climate change and the push for green energy vs nuclear energy; the threat poses by Communist China; pro-life issues and the Heartbeat bill; the Russian collusion hoax; Trump’s foreign and economic policies; illegal immigration and cross-border migration from the Islamic World; turning out the Christian vote; U.S. patent policy; Freedom of Speech; and the use of social media in Trump’s America..

Four of the 43 speakers traveled from abroad to attend Eagle Council XLVIII: Babette Francis, founder of pro-life, pro-family Endeavour Forum, Inc. in Australia; Princess Ingrid Detter de Frankopan, a Swedish scholar of international law; Hungarian Ambassador Laszlo Szabo; and MET-Elect Dominik Tarezynski, an MP in the Polish Parliament and a member-elect of the European Council.

I arrived on Friday morning, Sept. 13, for a 12:00 noon registration, but was immediately thrust into what would be a continuous, whirlwind cycle of events occurring in mostly half hour segments, during which time individual speakers were slated or a panel composed of several speakers. In addition, speakers were often scheduled to speak while breakfast, lunch, and dinner were being served. There were also evening workshops to attend. Although the days were long, the knowledge I gained from attending has given me the know-how and the ammunition to prepare myself for what lies ahead.

Eagle Council XLVIII officially begins

The initial offering after my Friday noon registration was a 12:30 p.m. session not previously announced or even noted on my schedule of activities. Gary Marks, Chief of Staff to Ralph Reed, spoke about judicial nominations and confirmations.  Marks stated how success is finally starting to reveal itself against judicial activism, given Trump’s two appointments to the Supreme Court, Neil Gorsuch and Brett Kavanaugh. Marks further predicted the possibility of more Trump Supreme Court justices in his second term.

A total of 152 judges have been appointed, with many more ready to process at the District Court level. With 13-1/2 Circuit Courts across this nation, some circuit courts have flipped from Democrat to Republican through Trump’s appointments. The Second, Third, Fourth, and Eleventh Circuits, whose territory ranges from Vermont to Florida, could all soon have a majority of Republican appointees.

Even the Ninth Circuit, which has stymied Trump’s orders on immigration and environmental policies, is within striking distance of flipping its seats to a majority of Republican appointees. The 9th now stands at 16-13. Since there is random draw system as to which judges will preside over any given case, the 9^th is no longer a sure win for Democrats.

Marks feels there should be more talk about the Supreme Court in the upcoming presidential election. Joe Biden should be asked his vision for judges.  It was a good idea for Trump, as a candidate, to make his list of possible Supreme Court nominees public. As far selecting Supreme Court nominees, younger is not always better.

For the remainder of Friday afternoon into the late evening, I was involved in a whirlwind of activity, beginning with a 2:00 p.m. welcoming by the Hon. Helen Marie Taylor, Chairman; Ed Martin, President; and John Schlafly, Treasurer.

Starting at 2:15 p.m., among the speakers I was privileged to hear were Ralph Reed, Stephen Moore, Patricia Geller, and Steve Bannon, a late addition to the speaker list.

Dr. Ralph Reed, founder and chairman of the Faith & Freedom Coalition, spoke first, but prior to hearing Reed’s message about “Turning Out the Christian Vote in 2020”, Reed was honored with the presentation of the Phyllis Schlafly Award for Excellence in Leadership by Ed Martin and John Schlafly. Gary Marks participated in the ceremony. Having known Reed for over 20 years, words used by Marks to describe Reed were patriot, a faith leader, strategist, grassroot leader, author, and a husband of 32 years.

Dr. Reed began his remarks by reminding his attentive audience that “we were here at a unique moment in time as we face the most important election of our lifetime.” Reed then went on to talk about Napoleon, who acknowledged that the spiritual and the moral were more powerful than the mass of an army, known as “will applied to force as a force multiplier.” As Reed suggested: We must have an army fired up with moral courage because Democrats are determined to win, as they did in CA in the midterm election through ballot harvesting, where 6 out of 7 Republicans lost even though they were winning when the polls closed. Democrats will say anything to win. There is no law they will not break. Words such as concede, lose, defeated, or quit are not in their vocabulary.  They will destroy reputations at will.”

Knowing yourself and knowing your enemy is important to Reed, as it is in any military strategy. If you don’t define yourself, the enemy will define you.

For Dr. Reed, grassroots win elections, not money.  Knock on doors to get your message out. Ignore the polls. Sonny Purdue was losing 50 to 37, yet he won by 8 points.

Most of all, said Reed, “We need to pray.” “God is on the throne.  He’s in charge, and we are called to be faithful.  He will never let us down.  Make sure that can be said of us.”

Stephen Moore followed Dr. Ralph Reed.  Moore served as one of the top economic advisers to Donald Trump in Trump’s 2016 presidential campaign.

As remarked by Mr. Moore, the economy is now good because Obama is no longer in office. There is small business optimism, and consumer confidence is high.  71% of American rate the economy good or great under Trump.  It’s not true that Trump isn’t president of the working class.  He had the “magic wand” to create 1.4 million blue collar jobs.  As to calling Trump a racist, how can Trump be a racist when unemployment among Hispanic and blacks is the lowest in 50 years?

In addition: Stock Market at record high; over 60% of households hold stocks; regulations were slashed; tax rates were lowered which increased revenue; energy production was revived – PA and Ohio are now major producers of natural gas; we have the best environmental record of any other nation despite getting out of the worst climate deal ever, the Paris Accord; and our tariffs on China for fair trade are killing China.

In talking about education and healthcare, our biggest costs, Moore related how government control doesn’t bring prices down.  It is free market capitalism which we can only get under President Trump.

Pamela Geller, founder, editor, and publisher of The Geller Report and president of the American Freedom Defense Initiative and Stop Islamization of America, expressed her dismay that 20 years after 9/11, the largest attack ever on American shores, not one movie has been made about 9/11.

Speaking about the silencing of free speech, Pamela noted how criticizing Muslims will lead to being labeled an Islamophobic.  As Pamela said, “descent is not tolerated, only tolerance of Muslims is permitted. If a group that cannot be criticized is permitted to work its will, that group will rule.”  Geller then made this surprising statement when suggesting that the FBI knew about the 9/11 plot and was part of the plan.

As Pamela stated: “We must stand with courage or we will lose our society.  Trump has unmasked the Democrat Party.  Reason and reality will determine the course of history.  Refusal of the radical left to accept an election, warned Geller, could led to a civil war.”

A Friday afternoon panel discussion,  Social Media in Trump’s America, spotlighted Jack Posobiec of One America News; Scott Presler (#ThePersistence) who recently led nearly two hundred volunteers on a clean-up day in Baltimore removing twelve tons of trash; and Carpe Donktum, a memesmith, whose Trump meme videos are a delight to watch.  Here is a meme by Donktum that you will like.

For many the highlight of Friday afternoon was to see and hear Steve Bannon, added as a featured speaker just a few days before the event began. During his remarks Steve warned that the upcoming campaign will go down as the most vitriolic and nastiest in American history.  Bannon further warned the assembled that when we meet again next year in September for another Eagle Council we’ll be in the middle of an election dog fight. As Bannon said, “If you think it’s been unpleasant and nasty to date, you haven’t seen anything yet.  The 2020 campaign will go down as the most vitriolic and nastiest in American history. It’s very simple, winning means we will save our country.”

In speaking about Trump, Bannon noted how Trump has taken on China, North Korea, Iran, Turkey, and Pakistan. As Bannon said:  “You haven’t seen anything yet if Trump gets 5 more years as president.” Bannon predicted that Trump will be remembered as the best president in American history. It a providential that Trump is now president.

Bannon is working to get the wall built with Kris Kobach, general counsel of the privately-funded We Build the Wall Project.  Kobach also spoke at Eagle Council.

Thorner/O’Neil: Saints’ football player draws fury from atheists

Is Drew Brees a Saint? Saints’ football player, Drew Brees, happens to be a Christian, as are multi-millions of American citizens.  He suggested that school children bring their Bibles to school on Thursday October 3, 2019, “National Bible Day.”

That seemed a good idea considering approximately 75% of American citizens identify as Christian, and also because the Bible is filled with important historical facts and promotes values that the vast majority of Americans believe important, such as peace, tolerance, forgiveness, and love.  Without question, these attributes are what we all seek for ourselves, our children, and people everywhere.

Why then were specific atheists furious with Brees’ simple suggestion that some Bible scriptures be included in our student’s curriculum when and where appropriate? Scoffers didn’t just express their opposing views, they fiercely attacked and maligned Drew Brees for his suggestion.  They voiced hateful rhetoric at this amazing athlete and credible man, simply for making a personal, common sense comment.

Perhaps it is because atheists do not want their children or yours to know that the Bible is filled with positive statements and amazing advice that applies to all of us today, just as it has throughout the centuries.  We know that schools, students, and our citizens benefited and prospered when the Bible was welcomed and taught in our classrooms.

Parents and American patriots have expressed the opinion that the quality of our schools began to decline when the Bible was banned from classrooms across America.  Was that a coincidence or could it be because atheists were concerned that teachers might be prejudice against atheism and atheists.  That would be a legitimate argument, but that was not the reason given for the change.  The intent of National Bible Day was not to proselytize, it was to recognize an amazing book that has survived for centuries and today remains the most widely read book in the World. That alone would be a good reason for our schools to allow students to recognize its value.

Our youth need and deserve to know that the Bible contains excellent advice and wisdom, such as the differences between good and evil in our world.  It also provides amazing historical facts to readers.  It is the most-read book of all time, which should spark concern and serious questions as to why anyone, especially teachers, would want to ban it from our schools.  the Bible is not just packed with historical facts about people and places, it also has instructions and illustrations of what is universally considered right and wrong, evil verses good, with examples appropriate for kindergarten children, as well as college students.  Can another book compare to that?

Brees’ reasonable comments were welcomed by a majority of Americans, most of whom identify as Christian but also those of other faiths, and even atheists. That is largely because most reasonable people understand the importance of putting forth positive, effective morals that are universally considered best for all people in every society. The Bible provides amazing information that helps guide readers to know what is necessary to assure their prosperity, as well as what is necessary for a nation to prosper.

Importance of the Bible

Our forefathers used the Bible as a teaching tool in schools. For centuries American children began their school day saluting our flag and hearing a Scripture verse from their teacher, until a leftist Supreme Court ruled in 1962 that prayer was no longer welcomed or even allowed in our public schools.

Parents need to trust their children as well as their school officials, but parents tend to place too much trust in each of them.  For instance, most schools today teach explicit sexual information with little or no regard to the individuality of students’ level of maturity to the subject.  Schools do very little monitoring of a teacher’s classrooms and/or what is actually being taught our children today.  This often results in mature questions asked by students in a room where many students are not ready for the specific facts or explicit conversation.

As the school’s involvement in teaching sex education increased, promiscuity followed as did the rate of premarital sex. Without any firm dialogue to discourage sexual experimentation, unplanned pregnancies exploded.  When right or wrong becomes irrelevant to the individual, a natural consequence is to self-approve immoral behavior.

It is critical that parents stay informed of what their children are being taught, so they can be part of their child’s awareness of the conversation. Parents must be as vigilant and aware of their child’s school curriculum as they once were to prevent their children from running across busy trafficked streets. Both can be dangerous when abused.

Although schools don’t have the right to challenge any student’s spiritual or political choices, some willingly choose this route, while others do so unintentionally.  Parents can inform the school if they want their child excluded from a specific class session, but the problem is the class material is not always predictable. The reason what is taught our children is exceedingly important can be understood in the popular quote from Abraham Lincoln: “The philosophy of the school room in one generation will become the philosophy of government in the next.” Not only did our schools change after new rules and sexually explicit curriculum were introduced, but our society suffered as well.

Consequences of removing prayer and Bible from schools

The exclusion of prayer in public places, and prayer and the Bible from schools, was the forerunner of the resultant moral disaster as follows:

• Criminal arrest of teens has now increased 150% according to the US Bureau of Census;
• Teen suicides in ages 15-19 years is up 450% according to  the National Center of Health Services;
• Illegal drug activity is up 6000% according to the National Institute of Abuse;
• SAT scores fell 10% even though the SAT questions have been revamped to be easier to answer;
• Violent crime has risen 350%, national morality figures have plummeted, and teen pregnancy escalated dramatically.

Upon hearing the nasty rhetoric spewed against what was a common-sense statement by Mr. Brees, Laura Ingraham and other rational Americans defended Brees common sense, altruistic comments. The important question all Americans should be asking is why anyone would publicly malign a positive role model for making an excellent, factual, and positive proposal that would benefit our people and nation?

Drew Brees is an amazing role model who promotes all that is positive for our youth.  That specific leftists in the United States did their best to destroy this role model, simply because he shared his faith in God, is not just sad, it is a warning to all of us.  When anyone purposes to malign and publicly destroy someone because they don’t share the person’s opinions, all Americans should be concerned and the guilty person exposed

Patriots proudly salute the American flag, and proudly state we are “one nation under God.”  This is a unifying tradition that all American patriots celebrate.  Its amazing declaration stands for everything good, positive, powerful and wonderful among us.  It strengthens us individually and binds us as a nation of people when we proclaim those words, for it reinforces how proud we are of being a citizen of the greatest nation on this planet.

We have many challenges in America mostly caused or created by those who do not honor our history or believe in the concepts of biblical values, but who Instead perpetrate the opposite of what has proven to be good for America and our citizens.  We do not need atheists telling us what is best for us to do, nor do we need them maligning our American heroes, especially those who have led exemplary lives.

This alone demonstrates the wisdom of Drew Brees’ suggestion to invite our children to bring their Bible to school and help promote the ideal being promoted for a holiday that honors our nation’s biblical ties and reminds students and their parents of the values inherent in the Bible, from which our Founding Fathers set forth a Judeo-Christian nation, if we can keep it.

A fight we must win
At any one moment in history the forces of freedom are always just a tiny minority—usually scattered, disorganized, and fighting a desperate fight. On the other side are people for whom power is an end unto itself—exactly the ethos we are fighting against—and who have thus accumulated far more power than we. Kings and commissars. Moguls and the media. Politicians, potentates, and bureaucrats and apparatchiks of every sort. Much more powerful. Much more organized.   As such is easy to despair. In the vast middle are people too busy or too unaware to make a stand. And all too often, they either fall for the propaganda of, or become party to, the machinations of those who fight against freedom.

We’ve already been lucky enough to see great victories. Something like the fall of the USSR and the Iron Curtain isn’t a once-in-a-lifetime thing—victories like that are rare in human history. They are generational. And we got to be here for it!  We may, as we speak, truly be living through another great awakening and on the cusp of more great victories.

But this won’t happen unless we, as part of the minority, have the courage, the will to fight, and do our part to keep the candle lit to guard this nation from the howling winds that seek to destroy our Constitutional Republic, replacing our Judeo/Christian heritage with Socialism/Communism where government takes the place of God and God’s Word.

Another great awakening is possible in 2020, but only if we get out the vote to reelect Donald J. Trump.

Thorner: CNN’s climate crisis town hall meeting a loser for America

CNN’s marathon town hall Wednesday, September 4th, put the climate crisis closer to the center of a presidential election than ever before. Over the course of CNN’s 14-hour television extravaganza, Democrats’ leading 2020 presidential candidates explained their positions with respect to climate change and floated a variety of proposals to cut Americans’ energy use and, ostensibly, to stop the climate from changing.

A central theme of the night was sacrifice. Many of the candidates’ climate change strategies require vast amounts of capital, from Joe Biden’s $1.7 trillion to Bernie Sanders’ $16.3 trillion. Who is going to end up paying that bill?

There was very little difference among the candidate positions on CO2-induced climate change, which they all claim is the most dangerous threat the world has ever faced, surpassing the human toll and carnage of any preceding economic or military-related disaster, including the Holocaust and World War II.

According to the candidates, our world has only 12 years to reverse the coming climate apocalypse, so we had all better shape up and climb aboard their policy prescription bandwagons and get moving to avoid it.  Because CNN says it’s a “crisis,” Democrats were free to offer one insane prediction after the next.

CNN was not interested in the fact that the United States is the only country in the world that has reduced emissions over the past decade-and-a-half while growing its economy, and it certainly wasn’t to expose the ignorance and extremism of the Democratic field, yet that is what happened. Given 40 minutes apiece, the aspiring Democratic contenders showed that they are willing to de-industrialize the U.S. economy, put millions of people out of work, and lower the standard of living for tens of millions more, all for the sake of “science” they cannot explain and do not understand.

But the candidates weren’t fully to blame, as CNN kept making “scientific” claims that ranged from half-truths to pure nonsense. More than once moderators suggested that Hurricane Dorian was caused by climate change, or a sign of things to come, when it wasn’t.

The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration’s “U.S. Hurricane Strikes by Decade” data, reaching back to 1851, can be accessed here. They show that there has been a 50 percent reduction in the number of major hurricanes making landfall in the United States since the 1930s. For the entire period, there is a slight downward trend in frequency, but the decline since the 1930s is remarkable.

So, if anything, hurricanes have become less frequent, not more, during the period of allegedly man-made global warming.

Partial credit, however, must be given to CNN for noting that plans like the “Green New Deal” will hurt mining and agricultural communities, which fell on deaf ear with some of the candidates.

Among the worst ideas:

1. TAXING “CARBON POLLUTION.” Some called it a “carbon fee”; others called it a “carbon tax.” Former U.S. Rep. Beto O’Rourke (D-TX) was the only one offering a “cap-and-trade” system as an alternative. All believe that you should be paying more for fuel. None suggested making it revenue-neutral — say, by lowering payroll taxes — though South Bend Mayor Pete Buttigieg would redistribute the money to the poor.
2. BANNING FRACKING. With the possible exception of former vice president Joe Biden (who agreed last month at the second debate that he would “eliminate” fracking) and former HUD Secretary Julián Castro (who would back bans at state and local levels), all of the Democrats want to ban the one innovation that has made the greatest difference for our planet in the last twenty years, powered the economic recovery, and made us less dependent on the Mideast.
3. ENDING OIL AND GAS EXPLORATION AND EXTRACTION ON PUBLIC LANDS. The Obama administration tried it, too. Never mind that some public lands have been specifically set aside for oil and gas development. There seems to be little thought about the impact that would have on the U.S. economy, on fuel prices, and on national security. Nor is any credit given for industry advances in environmental-friendly technology (except as a warrant for more regulation).
4. BANNING NUCLEAR ENERGY. Perhaps with Nevada — the fourth state in the 2020 primary contests — in mind, most of the candidates objected to nuclear energy because of challenges around nuclear waste storage. Only businessman Andrew Yang and Sen. Cory Booker (D-NJ) offered defenses of nuclear power as a zero-emissions alternative, with Booker making the obvious argument: if you believe we need to reduce emissions quickly, nuclear is the only way.
5. BANNING PLASTIC STRAWS, DISCOURAGING MEAT, ELIMINATING INCANDESCENT LIGHT BULBS. Sen. Kamala Harris (D-CA) admitted that paper straws are useless, but wants to ban the plastic ones anyway, based on pseudoscience. Booker, a vegan, says you can eat what you want — thanks! — but the rest want you to find another source of protein. And the candidates mocked Trump for halting the imposition of energy-efficient bulbs — seemingly ignorant of health risks.

But there was even more craziness:

• Biden blamed climate change for the cancer and the genocide in Darfur.
• Buttigieg said he would explain climate change to folks in the heartland by telling them God thought greenhouse gases were a sin.
• Bernie Sanders suggested global population control, encouraged by organizations that promote abortion abroad.
• All wanted to rejoin the Paris Climate Accords, none wants to submit them to the Senate for ratification, but several want to eliminate or evade the filibuster to pass the “Green New Deal”, the “green” socialist manifesto written by Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY).

Climate change as nothing new

The earth has experienced “Climate Change”, Global Warming, and Global Cooling since its birth 4 billion years ago.

Most of the myth about climate change are based on reports (recently retracted or drastically revised) of the UN’s IPCC, where only a minority of the 2500 “scientists” on the IPCC are in fact are meteorologists.  View here: UN IPCC Scientist Debunks UN IPCC Lies – YouTube

Restated below is what I’ve heard from various climate experts over the past few years and The Heartland Institute’s NIPCC report (Nongovernmental International Panel of Climate Change).

 

• There is no scientific, verified, meteorological, peer reviewed, evidence that EXTRAORDINARY “global warming” or “global cooling” is underway; which is why the left has switched to “climate change”.

• There is no scientific, verified, peer reviewed, evidence that man made, (anthropogenic), “climate change” is underway, nor anticipated. ALL projections to the contrary have proven false!

• If the U.S. eliminated every bit of its carbon emission producing activities TODAY, to zero emissions, there would be no significant impact on the environment by the year 2100.

Major producers of carbon “pollution”

The major producers of carbon “pollution” are China and India who are increasing their activities, (coal plant construction), and have no plans to do otherwise. Therefore, anything we do is futile until that changes, dramatically.

From a worldwide, strategic, geopolitical viewpoint, “climate change” efforts supported by the democrats are economically detrimental to the USA, and advantageous to China, Russia and India.

Progressives seem to delight in inconveniencing the masses for no reason. Consider the plastic straw ban. Even National Geographic — hardly an anti-environmentalist publication — admits that plastic straws comprise just 0.025 percent of the plastic in the oceans.

China, alone, produces around a third of the ocean’s plastic waste. In addition, CO2 emissions are greater than the U.S. and Europe combined, and keep going up.

Do Democrats really believe in climate change? 

Consider the following written by Allum Bokhari on Sept. 6, 2019 and the answer should become apparent, If Democrats cared about the environment they’d talk about China:

“If Democrats really believe that climate change is an existential threat to humanity, why are they proposing draconian and pointless curbs on the behavior of ordinary Americans? Why aren’t they going after multinationals that continue to do business with the world’s biggest polluter, without demanding any environmental commitments from them?

The real reason Democrats won’t go after China is that they are now the party of global elites, and global elites are constantly salivating about the profits that can be made from China’s market of 1.4 billion people.

They look to Europe and America and see a dwindling middle class with a declining population. There’s no money in that, not long-term anyway. Maybe the problem could be fixed with pro-natal policies like Hungary’s, but why bother? It’s far easier to simply go overseas, to a country that does have a booming population and rising middle class.

That’s the same reason, by the way, that global elites are so vociferously opposed to President Donald Trump and his agenda. Trade restrictions on China, to protect American jobs? An outrage! The elites can’t make money off American jobs, you see. They’re just so much more expensive than Chinese jobs!

Ask yourself, why is big tech so determined to work with China, despite the political pitfalls? Did Google, which once boasted the hipster motto “don’t be evil,” really think they’d suffer no blow back for developing a censored search engine designed to appease Chinese state censors? Or that working with the Chinese military but not the American one would somehow escape notice? Of course not — but for all its professed “values,” there’s no way a profit-seeking multinational like Google can resist the temptation of a 1.4 billion-person market.

But plastic straw bans, meat bans, and one-child policies won’t solve the problem. They simply cause unnecessary pain to ordinary people. MEANWHILE, THE CHINESE DIRTY COAL FURNACES KEEP ON BURNING.”

It is amusing that adherents to Climate Change, once called Global Warming in the 1990’s, and Global Cooling, (A new Ice Age was predicted) in the 1970’s, now say they believe in Climate Change.  Isn’t belief a philosophical or religious function, NOT a scientific function?

In that human CO2 is known to cause global warming with high certainty, and confirmed by observations, is but a climate myth.  No science is ever “settled”.  Science deals in probabilities, not certainties. When the probability of something approaches 100%, then we can regard the science, colloquially, as “settled.
